How has this all come about?
From my earliest memories I was drawing. I recall that the staff at my Dad's shop would surround me as I made my pencil marks and indulged me with praise and encouragement to keep on creating visual stories on paper. I have included one of my primary school drawings and one from grade 8 to the Imaginative Gallery. See of you can find them. And so I got through adolescents still willing to draw (which not every child is able to do unfortunately) and went to the College of Art in Brisbane. Because the course was graphic design focused, my career started in that vein and only after I was invited to teach (sessionally) at RMIT did it include an educational component, something that I found I had in me. The theological overlay that happened later was more through a leading of God than anything else and this allowed me to explore searching existential questions about what I am in this world for. It also allowed me to become a school chaplain for ten years.
